Q: Is your middle name actually Doco?
A: No, my middle name is actually James, I just use Doco as an alias.

Q: Where did the name Doco come from?
A: An art project I started when I was 18. The main character's name was Doco.

Q: How old are you?
A: I’m 25.

Q: Where do you live?
A: I currently reside in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Q: How much do you charge for a photo session?
A: I have a BASIC rates page up for standard portrait services, if you are looking for something outside of this please contact me directly. ryan@docofolio.com

Q: How long have you been taking pictures?
A: Around 3 years now. I've been serious about it for 1.5 years.

Q: Could you share your creative process with me?
A: I get this question quite often so I decided to write an article on what I do from A-Z in preperation for a shoot. Check out the articles I've written HERE.

Q: If you've been shooting for 3 years why is your gallery so small?
A: I only choose the best of the best frames to post on my site, from a 300 frame shoot I'll likely keep 20-30 photos, from those 20-30 I'll only edit 5-8 of them, of those 5-8 I'll generally pick 1-3 for my site and post 4-5 on my DeviantArt and Flickr. I'm a firm believer in Quality not Quantity.

Q: What camera do you use?
A: I currently shoot on a Nikon D300 with an assortment of Nikon lenses and flashes.

A: Adobe Photoshop CS3

A: I offer Photoshop Tutorials at a VERY reasonable rate if you are looking to learn.
